Silk Crepe de Chine Fabric, which is French for "crepe from China," Silk crepe de chine fabric is best known for its unmatched versatility, it features a smooth feel, wrinkle resistance, satisfyingly lustrous, exceptional fluid drape, delicately and grainy texture. Lightweight, dense and breathable, it does not have a glossy luster, however.

One of the more durable cultivated silk fabrics, is an ideal choice for evening or bridal dresses, formal wears, airy summer blouses, skirts, shawls and scarves in addition to blouses and men’s shirts. Known as a more durable silk, silk crepe de Chine takes thread well which was produced by the use of weft, or filling, yarns spun with the twist running in reverse directions and known as right-hand and left-hand twist, but it is still recommended to be dry-cleaned.
